2024 Edition

A quick review of the 2024 edition.

Olympics Football is our onchain bracket game for the 2024 Olympic Men’s Football Championship. This game was specifically created to demonstrate how our onchain bracket technology can be replicated for various and different events—especially, but not exclusively, for sports events.

In this game, users were required to select the outcomes of matches—win, loss, or draw—and submit their brackets. Each correct prediction was worth one point, and at the end, the user with the highest number of points won the game.

Due to the specific nature of this sports championship, Olympics Football was divided into two games:

First Stage: representing the tournament’s group stage, which is a qualifying round.

Final Stage: representing the final phase of the tournament, following a single-elimination model. A notable feature of this phase was the match to determine the third-place winner, in addition to the final match to crown the champion.

In Olympics Football, each of these phases was treated as a separate game, with its own jackpot, entries, and winners.

The prize consisted of the total value of the entries, minus a 10% protocol fee.
