Welcome to the **Perfect Pool Bracket Challenge**, a tournament prediction game modeled after global football knockout tournaments.\

### 🎮 How It Works

The game is structured in two main phases:

#### 🧩 Full Tournament Bracket

**1. Group Stage Predictions**

There are **8 groups** (Groups A to H), each with 4 teams.

Your task:

* **Rank all 4 teams in each group** (from 1st to 4th)
* Based on your rankings, the platform auto-generates the **Round of 16** matchups using a standard format

* 3\) SE Palmeiras
* 4\) Al Ahly FC

**2. Knockout Stage Predictions**

After the Round of 16 matchups are generated:

* Predict who advances from each match in:
  * Round of 16
  * Quarterfinals
  * Semifinals
  * Final\ <br>

> 📝 **No need to predict match scores** — only which team advances.

### 🔁 Editing Your Predictions

You can **edit and update your bracket as many times as you wish** before submitting it to the blockchain.

Once your bracket is **submitted and recorded on-chain**, it becomes **final and immutable**.\
At this point, **no further edits or changes are allowed**.

> ⚠️ **Reminder:** Be confident in your picks before minting your bracket NFT. Once submitted, your predictions are locked and stored permanently.

### 🧠 Scoring System

* ✅ **+1 point** for each correct prediction
* 🏆 The bracket with the most total points at the end of the tournament **wins the prize pool**
* 🤝 In case of a tie, the prize will be **split equally** among the top scorers

### 💸 Entry & Prize

* 🎟 **Entry Fee:** 2 USDC per bracket
* 💰 **Prize Pool:** $2,200 (and counting)
* 🥇 The **best-performing bracket wins it all**

### 🔐 Transparency & On-Chain Fair Play

* All brackets are **recorded on-chain**
* Once submitted, your bracket is **permanently stored** and cannot be altered
* You receive a **bracket NFT** which can be listed or traded on secondary marketplaces

### &#x20;*Second Chance Bracket*

Did your original bracket underperform or miss the group stage deadline?

You can enter a **Second Chance Bracket** starting after the group stage ends:

* 🗓 **Opens:** June 26, 2025
* 📍 Includes the **16 qualified teams** in the Round of 16 (auto-populated)
* 🎮 Predict outcomes for:
  * Round of 16
  * Quarterfinals
  * Semifinals
  * Final
* 🔒 **Lock Deadline:** June 28, 2025 — before the first knockout match starts

> 📊 **Note:** The Second Chance Bracket has its own leaderboard.\
> 🛑 **Leagues are not supported** for this mode.
